Wyndham Worldwide’s sustainable practices are created and driven by the Wyndham Green program. Now in its sixth year, it remains one of the top five strategic priorities at Wyndham Worldwide. The program – which is focused on education and innovation – is a way of living and working based on the company’s vision and core values, enhancing customers’ lives by improving the environment, supporting global and local communities, and developing sustainable programs that deliver economic benefits. In 2015, Wyndham Worldwide was recognised as a World Leader for Action on Climate Change by the CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), and in 2014, 2015 and 2016 was named one of the greenest companies in the US by Newsweek Magazine. Globally, the company reached its goal of reducing emissions by 20% in 2014, six years ahead of its target.
Our Asia Pacific Wyndham Green mascot is Wynnie the Wallaby. Through fun resort activities and the Wynnie the Wallaby activity pack, children of WorldMark Owners and guests are encouraged to help protect the planet by conserving energy and water, recycling/reusing and regenerating the environment.
