Fishing
For rod and line anglers, the jetties at Cowes, Newhaven, Rhyll, San Remo and Corinella are popular spots. Fishing in the bay is also an enjoyable pastime, as is surf fishing. Charter fishing expeditions depart from Newhaven and San Remo and hire boats are available from Cowes, Rhyll and Corinella. The Rhyll Fishing Park has instructors who can teach anyone to fish in a safe and natural fishing environment and they will even cook your catch for you!

Go-Karts – 5 mins
Over 720 metres long, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit Go-Kart Track is based on a scale replica of the 4.445km world-famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. The even bends and super fast straight of this go-kart track hug some of the most breathtaking coastline on the island with rolling hills, rugged cliffs and ocean views. The track operates year-round excluding the periods for MotoGP and the Superbikes.

Phillip Island Tenpin Bowling & Entertainment Centre – 5 mins
This is the place to head when the sun has gone down or the clouds have come out. Enjoy tenpin bowling, table tennis, air hockey and more.

Walking
The walking trails around Ramada Phillip Island meander past pretty wetlands and countryside. The island also boasts a vast array of beach and bush walks, many along the rugged south coast. These include Cape Woolamai, Kitty Miller Bay and Nobbies walks. For great bird watching opportunities, Conservation Hill and Rhyll Mangrove Boardwalk overlook the Rhyll Wetlands and Rhyll Inlet, while Swan Lake nature trail leads to the only permanent freshwater lake on the island.

Wildlife Coast Cruises – 5 mins
Cruise out to Seal Rocks to see over 6,000 Australian fur seals. The two-hour cruise includes a commentated tour around Phillip Island’s north-west coast, a visit to Seal Rocks bringing you within metres of seals, afternoon tea and a variety of activities for the children on the way home.

Wild Ocean EcoBoat Tours

Within 20 minutes of departing from the Cowes jetty, the Wild Ocean EcoBoat Tours arrive offshore to one of Australia’s largest fur seal colonies. Underwater cameras aboard the boat reward guests with a unique glimpse into the playful antics occurring beneath the waves as seals surround the boat. Visit in January and you’ll see fur seal pups taking their first swim lessons. Extend the thrills aboard the EcoBoat Adventure tour for spectacular close-up views of the Nobbies blowhole and Phillip Island’s rugged southern coastline.
